Stay in unique hotels and volunteer at an elephant sanctuary for the day getting in the river with them! Explore authentic villages and stay in a hotel that floats on the river. Visit majestic waterfalls, a floating market and the hundreds of ancient temples of Chaing Mai. End your journey on the famous beaches of Thailand on Ko Samui or other islands exploring the marine nature reserve.

1. The Rainforest Lodge Experience
Stay in our favorite lodge that actually floats on the river with Elephants! A bar for cold drinks, dining area, river floats and jungle bungalows. Walks, treks, excursions, viewing platforms, wildlife and the sounds of the jungle make this 3 night stay a trip highlight for kids and families. Explore the nearby Mon village – a real traditional community where the lodge staff lives and works.
2. Elephant Volunteer Day
Spend a full day at Elephants World helping to care for and feed elephants. These elephants have been rescued or are elderly and injured and can no longer care for themselves. Feed and bathe with them in the river
3. Machu Picchu by train
A few hours by train from Cusco, the Vistadome train experience is one of a kind. Arriving from the snow capped mountains to the jungle river village of Aguas Calientes, a short bus ride will take you to the entrance of incredible Machu Picchu where you and your family can have the Indiana Jones adventure of a lifetime!
