TWK Tours has more travelers that return to South Africa many times over any other vacation destination. Its nearly impossile to convey in photos and video. You have to experiene it for yourself. Our South Africa Safari itinerary is 10 nights including Victoria Falls with an optional Cape Town add on. The safari experience in Madikwe is malaria free working along side one of our most trusted partners for an all inclulsive exlusive use of lodge for our group experience.
Day 1:
Arrival day – meet guides at airport and get settled at hotel in Sandon City. Free time to explore.
Day 2:
Visit the elephant sanctuary outside of Johannesburg to get up close with the giant African elephants that are in a rehabilitation center.
Day 3:
Half Day Soweto Township Tour – Walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, learn how school children helped put an end to apartheid, and visit a local school. If possible we will deliver school supplies to a local community organization and spend some time with the local kids. Have local lunch on vibrant Vilikazi Street near Nelson Mandelas home
Day 4:
Enjoy a comfortable ride through the South African countryside on modern roads, stopping for breaks and food and a craft market before arriving at Madikwe Game Reserve. Approx 5-hour drive. Transport included. Begin your bush lodge Safari experience that evening heading out on your first thrilling exciting drive to find wild animals of Africa – you never know what you will see. Enjoy snacks and drinks at sunset out of the jeep with your fellow travelers. Dinner back at the lodge by the Boma campfire
Day 5:
Day 2 of Safari. Early morning game drive, breakfast, leisuretime at the lodge, you can explore the underground “hide” -you never know what you will see. Afternoon game drive and enjoy snacks and drinks at sunset out of the jeep with your fellow travelers. Dinner back at the lodge by the Boma campfire.
Day 6:
Day 3 of Safari. An early morning sunrise game drive awaits, breakfast at the lodge and down time around the resort. After your evening game drive enjoy dinner back at the lodge by the Boma campfire
Day7:
Day 4 of Safari. After your morning game drive, enjoy hanging out around the lodge, going underground to watch elephant activity a the ‘hide’. Have your evening game drive and enjoy snacks and drinks at sunset out of the jeep with your fellow travelers. Dinner back at the lodge by the Boma campfire
Day9:
Travel To Victoria Falls Zimbabwe. After meeting our guides at the airport, transfer to the hotel and get ready for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Drinks included. Spot hippos and crocs on a relaxing cruise.
Day 9:
Free Day to explore Victoria Falls. Walk the footpaths along all the lookout stations, get wet from the mist, watch people bunjee jump from the Victoria Bridge, go zip lining, do the crazy tarzan gorge swing, shop the markets.
