Welcome to Madikwe Game Reserve
Madikwe Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s largest and most diverse wildlife sanctuaries, offering a unique safari experience. Established in 1991, it spans over 75,000 hectares and is home to the Big Five, as well as a variety of other species. The reserve is a conservation success story, transforming former farmland into a thriving ecosystem. Visitors can enjoy guided game drives, luxurious lodges, and the chance to witness wildlife in its natural habitat. We have experienced Safari in Kruger, Sabi Sands and Madikwe and often prefer the Madikwe experience. The limited amount of jeeps at a sighting is the main reason for visiting Madikwe, along with fewer crowds and no day visitors or self driving safari allowed.
